Immunity to Magic (Ex)

A rock man is immune to any spell or spell-like ability that allows spell resistance. In addition, certain spells and effects function differently against the creature, as noted below.

  • A transmute rock to mud spell slows a rock man (as the slow spell) for 2d6 rounds, with no saving throw, while transmute mud to rock heals all of its lost hit points.
  • A stone to flesh spell does not actually change the rock man's structure but negates its damage reduction and immunity to magic for 1 full round.

Rolling Stone

As a Move action a Rock Man can compress itself into a rounded boulder shape with a Speed of 10. In this form it gains a trample attack or a single slam attack with a reach of 1.

Living Construct

Unlike other constructs, a rock man has a Constitution score, makes Fortitude saves, and is not immune to mind-affecting spells or abilities. Rock Men are also at risk from death from massive damage, nonlethal damage, stunning, fatigue, exhaustion, ability damage, ability drain, death effects, and necromancy effects.

Rock Men do have immunity to poison, sleep effects, paralysis, petrification, disease, nausea, effects that cause the sickened condition, and energy drain. A rock man does not need to sleep, though a rock man wizard must still rest for 8 hours before preparing spells.

A rock man cannot heal lethal damage naturally, and must be healed magically. They can be affected by spells that target living creatures as well as by those that target constructs. Spells from the healing subschool and supernatural abilities that cure hit point damage or ability damage provide only half their normal effects to a Rock Man . A Rock Man is made of stone and non-ferrous metal, and is subject to spells that affect creatures made of or wearing these substances.

Natural Camouflage

In rocky terrain a rock man gains a +10 stealth bonus to remain hidden
